Biography: Dr. Gabriela Mogos is a Foreign expert at Computer Science Department, Hunan University of Arts and Science, Changde, China. She earned her PhD in Computer Science in 2010 at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania.
Her interests and research activities over the past ten years have mainly centred around a quantum cryptography, with an emphasis on design of new quantum algorithms and quantum cryptographic protocols. Also, her interest was directed in embedding the quantum-safe equipment in large networks, simultaneously with the development of the software applications, to be able to replace gradually the existing classical equipment which become vulnerable.
Dr. Gabriela Mogos has over 40 publications, 3 books, and, has acted as principal investigator and co-investigator in international and national research projects.

Abstract: For the first time in history, the security of cryptography is dependent neither on the computing resources of the adversary nor on mathematical progress. Quantum cryptography allows the exchange of encryption keys whose secrecy is future - proof and guaranteed by the laws of quantum physics. Quantum cryptography has triggered intense and prolific research works during the past twenty years and now progresses to maturity. Quantum Key Distribution is therefore set to become an integral part of a global security framework, where both computational methods and physical methods are used to guarantee data security, and provide quantum - safe security against the threat of a quantum computer.
This keynote presentation will explore quantum-safe cryptography solutions in the 21^st century and discuss its key concepts, opportunities and challenges based on experience and perspective.
